March 30, 2020:  Gov. Larry Hogan issued a stay-at-home order for Marylanders which means no one should leave their home for any reason other than essential work, to get food or other fundamental reason. The order takes effect at 8 pm.
For the GISW this means:

1. All GISW buildings will be closed for the foreseeable future.

2. In order to give our teachers and parents more time to prepare, we are postponing both parent nights that were scheduled for tonight to Thursday at the same time.

Distance Learning until Friday, April 24th, 2020.

We are here for you as we continue to prepare for the 2020/21 school year. The Admissions Office remains open. Please complete this form and we will contact you:

GISW updates related to the Coronavirus:

Book Return Policy

We would like to politely point out that the bookstore can only accept returns of unused books and material under the following special circumstances:

-          If the class, you purchased the book for, is not going to take place.

-          If your child does not attend the German International School Washington D.C. despite you placing the book order and purchasing the books.

In all other cases we can only take your books into commission and sell them as used books.

Thank you very much for your understanding.
